Teacher Professional Development
Experience the wonders of marine science on our 63 ft diesel-electric hybrid research vessel, the CUNY I. Students participate in real research, collecting environmental and biological data, and learning about the marine ecosystems of the NY/Hudson estuary. This hands-on program fosters a deep understanding and appreciation for our waterways.
Join us for an exciting summer of marine exploration at Kingsborough Community College. Our summer program offers students the chance to engage in hands-on activities, from studying marine life to understanding environmental conservation. It’s a summer of discovery and learning that students won’t forget.
It is free for NYC school kids thanks to the assembly person & state senator.
We work with educators to design and implement marine science lesson plans that are both engaging and educational. Our curriculum development program ensures that students receive high-quality, hands-on learning experiences that foster a love for science and the environment.
In collaboration with the National Wildlife Federation, we offer professional development workshops for teachers. These workshops provide educators with the tools and knowledge to bring marine science into their classrooms.
